The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown shades at Peter Obi following his performance at the Chatham House recently.
The Labour Party presidential candidate was faulted by the ruling party as they claim Obi was having a hard time understanding his manifesto during his speech.
The Deputy Director; New Media, Member ICT Management Committee, Tinubu/Shetima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council, Adamu Garba II made a tweet On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, a day after Obi’s appearance at Chatham House.

Garba II tweeted:
“While struggling to read from Teleprompter like a primary school comprehension student, Peter Obi appears not to understand what his shabby team put down from his cut-and-paste manifesto.
“Maybe, the manifesto was drafted and written in Bangladeshi language.”
Supporters of Obi on Twitter came to the strong defence of his performance at Chatham House.
First was @Dr_chazduke who said: “You will be alive to experience the new Nigeria Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed will usher in soonest.”
@beingUzosike added: “Direct engagement.. Not my proxies..please listen to the end of the video. “You will realize that a town hall is no Agbado..”
@Mario84887701 was not holding back as he tweeted: “Can tinubu or atiku vow for their running mate like this.?”
@judefixit tweeted: “Honestly Nigerians don’t miss this chance of electing Peter Obi as the next president…in all my childhood listening to Nigerian politicians I have never seen this kind boldness in zero tolerance for corruption in Man…Vote Peter Obi for oneness, equity and justice.”
Peter Obi’s biggest challenges at the presidential polls in February are APC’s Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party’s flagbearer was in the past week at the University of Nigeria Nsukka in Enugu state as part of his campaign for the upcoming elections.
Obi was mobbed by students of his former school who were doing everything to touch him before he was rushed into a parked helicopter as he left the scene.
