Former Super Eagles striker Odion Jude Ighalo, who now plies his trade in the Saudi Pro-League with Al Wehda FC, has revealed the highest point in his football career.
The 34-year-old, who debuted for the Nigeria national team in March 2015 against Uganda, said that playing for Manchester United is the highest point of his career.
The professional player started his football career at Nigerian clubs Prime and Julius Berger, Ighalo moved to Norwegian club Lyn in 2007 and made the revelation in a chat with Oma Sports TV.
Ighalo said that playing at Old Trafford was one of his biggest dreams, and he is happy to be the first and only Nigerian to play for Manchester United.

“Sometimes we dream about something, sometimes it comes to pass, sometimes it doesn’t. But [my dream of playing for] Man U came to pass,” he said.
“I’ve been a Manchester United fan since I was young. I used to pay at viewing centres to watch Manchester United. Whenever they lose, I will be crying. So playing at Old Trafford was one of the biggest dreams that came true. I’m happy to be the first and only Nigerian to play for Manchester United.
“It was all God. I don’t know how that deal happened. If someone had told me a year or ten years before then, I wouldn’t have believed. Then all the odds were against me: 30 years old, playing in China for three years, then coming back to the Premier League with a team like Man U. So all the odds were against me. But when God wanted to do something, he would just pick you up from nowhere and put you up there.
“If I told you I knew how it happened, it would be lying. It was just God. I don’t know. I just know that I played for Manchester United for one year. And that was the biggest, greatest highlight of my career.” Ighalo noted.
