Ogun State special adviser to the governor on public works, Mr Babatunde Adeshina has disclosed that the state government is ready to make about 100 roads rehabitable across 20 LGAs of the state.
According to a statement shared with our correspondent, Adeshina made this statement while talking about the state’s road condition in a radio interview that was monitored.
In the interview, Adeshina stressed that the state government is committed to fairness by ensuring that the fruits of democracy are distributed fairly across the state. He urged the people of the state not to be impatient with the government, saying that all roads cannot be repaired at the same time, but rather gradually.
According to the SA, the Ogun State Public Works Agency was thinking of giving primary roads priority over subsidiary ones.
“It is impossible to tackle hundred–year problems in a single day. There are a lot of routes, and we have to start somewhere, so I ask for your patience. We would have covered a lot of ground in the next years if we had started and kept up this pace,” he added.
Furthermore, Adeshina revealed that the government was dedicated to finishing the other side of each dual carriageway that had previously been built throughout the state.
