Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has secured a significant victory as he assumes the role of the 12th Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

In a post on X, he expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from his fellow Speakers and articulated his sincere desire to serve optimally in this esteemed position.

As the 12th Chairman of the Conference of Speakers, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin will facilitate dialogue, cooperation, and legislative harmonization among Nigeria’s state legislatures.

His leadership is expected to contribute to Nigeria’s effective governance and development at the subnational level, demonstrating the importance of collaboration among states in a federal system.

His words:

”It’s another victory and another call to serve. To God alone be the ultimate glory as I emerged the 12th Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

”Despite being the youngest among all the Speakers, I received their overwhelming support. Immense thanks to our esteemed Rt. Honorables for this honour and trust.

”This is not a mere quest for personal recognition but a sincere desire to serve optimally and to work with all the stakeholders to place the conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria on a higher and enviable pedestal. So help me, God.”
