Dokun Ojomo, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has urged Mr Fela Durotoye to reject his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu appointed Durotoye as his senior special assistant on national values and social justice.
The appointment has stirred discussions and reactions within the political landscape.
Fela Durotoye is a well-known Nigerian motivational speaker, leadership expert, and politician.
He has actively advocated for good governance, leadership, and youth empowerment in the country.
In 2019, he contested for the presidency under the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria.
The PDP chieftain wrote on X:
”President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Fela Durotoye as Senior Special Assistant to the President.
”I will advise Mr. Durotoye to reject this offer. He will destroy whatever social capital that he has left.”
In the statement announcing Durotoye’s appointment, President Tinubu tasked him and other appointees to ”maintain the highest standards of decorum and decency as they engage with the public.”
