Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state made a fresh allegation against the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor who was at the inauguration of internal roads in Rumuigbo, Obio-Akpor local government area of the state on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, said that the PDP squandered N12.5bn funds meant for the party in two months.
Wike further stressed that the party would regain its prominence again with the new leadership.

The governor said: “I believe we should have strong leadership. I can’t support people whose interest is only to amass money.”
The governor also expressed optimism that the PDP would be strengthened with the new leadership as he added:
“I owe no apology to anybody. I said it before, this is the final fight we will fight and we are going to win this fight.”
