Olori Margaret Bosede Orebiyi, the former Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state, has officially withdrawn her membership.
Additionally, Orebiyi also announced her retirement from active politics.
A formal letter of resignation communicated her decision to withdraw her membership and step back from the political arena.
The letter was addressed to several key figures within the PDP, including the Ward 07 Chairman of PDP, Ogbe Ward, the Local Government Party Chairman, the State Caretaker PDP Chairman, and the Leader of PDP in Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
In her resignation letter, the former Woman Leader expressed her gratitude to the party and its leadership for the opportunities provided during her political career.
She acknowledged the support and trust of her leaders, which allowed her to serve in various capacities and establish herself as a respected politician.
Aides of the notable politician say her resignation signals a transition into a new phase of her life outside of active politics.
The move has generated interest within the political circles of Kogi State, as Orebiyi had been an influential figure within the PDP.
”Her contributions and exit mark a significant chapter in her political journey,” one of her aides added.
