Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has reacted after his team lost 4-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in an EPL game played at the Etihad on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola, who spoke with BBC Sport moments after the game, which turned out to be Manchester City’s fifth loss in a row, said that he has not been in such a situation for years.
The coach said that his team has to bounce back to reckoning, and to do that, they have to wake up and break the losing streak by winning the next games, especially the next one.
“In eight years, we’ve never lived this kind of situation”.
“Now we have to live it, and we have to break it winning the next games, and especially the next one…”.
“We will be back. We will do it”. The coach who has won four consecutive EPL titles said.
Pep’s reaction comes days after he penned a new two-year contract to continue at the helm of English Premier League (EPL) club Manchester City.
The current Premier League winners have also announced Pep Guardiola’s new two-year contract, confirming that he would stay put with the club until 2027.
Reports say that the Manchester City Board did everything to ensure that Pep Guardiola remains as coach, with the imminent exit of Txiki Begiristain not affecting his future.
