A prominent Labour Party (LP) supporter, Chononso Charles, has declared that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, is one of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria.
Charles made the declaration in a social media post on Tuesday, August 29.
According to him, Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, has emerged as a beacon of change and a source of inspiration for citizens nationwide.
He noted that Obi is renowned for his principled approach to campaigning and governance, adding that his impact extends far beyond traditional party lines.
His words:
”Peter Obi is one of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria. He showed the younger generations that politics or campaigning is not about sharing money but about staying on the issues and connecting with the citizens.
”He captured the hearts of many Nigerians, both young and old. He won the election by landslides, making it impossible to rig.
”The APC government committed treasonous acts, not rigging.”
In another post, Charles hailed the supporters of Obi, popularly called ‘OBIdients’ for their steadfastness and support for the LP presidential candidate.
He also commended them for their determination to see Obi win through the election petition tribunal.
He noted:
”Obidients are the true watchmen the Bible talks about. They keep Nigerians together, waiting for the judiciary to do the right thing.
”Imagine Nigeria today without Obidients; the judiciary would have thrown Nigerians under the bus by now without even blinking.
”Obidients are changing Nigeria, and soon, the West will be very careful before they comment on anything concerning Nigerians.”
Charles added that Obi’s legacy reverberates far beyond electoral victories.
According to him, Obi serves as an exemplar for aspiring politicians, demonstrating that transformative leadership revolves around tackling pressing issues that resonate with citizens and fostering a genuine sense of connection and trust.
