Peter Obi has pointed accusing hands at political leaders after his supporters were attacked during the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential rally in Lagos.
There were reports that unknown persons attacked some of the LP followers as they marched out in their thousands across Lagos on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
Obi condemned the attack on his Twitter handle and blamed political leaders for inciting violence among his supporters.

He said: “We cannot continue to tolerate attacks on members of the political opposition, often fuelled by the incendiary rhetorics of political leaders. The new Nigeria that we seek is one founded on peace and justice and the respect for the rule of law.”
It is understood that four members of the ‘Obidient’ movement sustained injuries in the process as Obi described the assault as very disturbing.
Obi, therefore, called on security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the act are brought to book and justice is served.
The LP flagbearer added that his vision for a new Nigeria is based on peace and justice as well as respect for the rule of law.
