President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr Mainasara Umar Kogo as the new Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Dr. Kogo, a seasoned lawyer and analyst, brings extensive experience in the fields of law, security, economy, politics, and international diplomacy to his new role.
President Tinubu, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, expressed confidence in Dr. Kogo’s ability to bring professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the office.
“The President anticipates professionalism, integrity, and fidelity to the nation in the discharge of the functions of the Office of the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT),” Ngelale stated.
Ngelale said the appointment reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to ensuring the effective and ethical operation of the CCT, which plays a critical role in maintaining public trust and accountability in government operations.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has urged public servants to uphold public trust and accountability to the citizens they serve.
Speaking through Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service held recently, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of creating an environment where merit is rewarded, and every public servant feels valued and motivated to give their best.
He stressed that public institutions are not personal enterprises and that public servants are employees of the Nigerian people.
