President Bola Tinubu has asserted his unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s national treasury from the clutches of corrupt individuals and criminal elements.

He acknowledged the retaliatory efforts of smugglers and beneficiaries of the erstwhile subsidy system, underlining the ongoing battle against corruption. Addressing grassroots leaders, he underscored the importance of citizens acquiring their National Identification Numbers (NIN) for effective planning and inclusion in relief initiatives.

During a gathering with the Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to allocating resources to pivotal sectors for the welfare of Nigerians. Stressing the sanctity of the nation’s treasury, he emphasized the imperative to prevent its misuse.

He assured the populace of ongoing efforts to enhance living standards and urged leaders to facilitate NIN registration for seamless participation in relief programs.

In a statement relayed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu outlined a progressive agenda encompassing initiatives such as student loans, a national consumer credit system, and social welfare programs. He envisioned inclusive prosperity for all Nigerians, promising a concerted national effort towards economic growth and harmony.

Highlighting agriculture’s pivotal role, he unveiled plans for large-scale livestock farming and emphasized the shift towards mechanized agriculture and self-sufficiency in food production.

Underscoring the priority of economic repositioning, President Tinubu urged party members to uphold principles of good governance and civic engagement.

Despite facing resistance from corrupt elements and subsidy beneficiaries, he remained steadfast in defending the people’s interests and preserving the integrity of the treasury. He stressed the importance of NIN registration for effective social security interventions and outlined collaborative efforts, including a committee led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, to uplift the populace.

APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed plans to establish the Progressive Institute of Policy and Development for the benefit of party members and the broader Nigerian society.

The Forum of APC State Chairmen echoed their support for President Tinubu’s administration and congratulated him on electoral victories, pledging continued assistance in implementing economic programs aimed at national progress.
