A beautiful Nigerian lady who had all to live for has met her untimely death during her quest to have an enhanced shape.
The 28-year-old businesswoman and socialite, identified as Amelia Pounds, reportedly died at a hospital in New Delhi, India following complications from liposuction surgery.
A video circulating on social media showed the pretty lady lifeless on what appeared to be an operating table. A man with an Indian accent was heard in the background, telling her he was sorry for what had occurred. But Amelia Pounds, who seemed unresponsive, did not react.
The clip has generated huge reactions from Nigerians on social media, who questioned why the beautiful lady decided to undergo cosmetic surgery.
@iam_ermy, with the Twitter handle, said: “Likeee… if the picture I’m seeing is before she went for the surgery, I wonder what she went to change.
Kevin Toyinbo, with the handle @papi_demillie, explained that surgery is risky and can have a tragic outcome.
He said: “Surgery by definition is an “organised” trauma; however after informed possible complication is explained to the patient, you still have to do your best to make sure the patient comes out safe. However, anything can happen intra-op, sometimes not be related to the procedure.”
