French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly eyeing a blockbuster move for lethal Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, currently the most prolific striker in Europe this season, has continued his remarkable form with Galatasaray, topping the UEFA Champions League scoring chart with six goals in three matches, including a record-breaking hat-trick against Ajax earlier this week.
The 26-year-old joined the Turkish champions last summer for a league-record €75 million, but his sensational displays have already attracted renewed attention from Europe’s elite clubs.
Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that PSG manager Luis Enrique has urged the club’s hierarchy to sign a proven No. 9 in the mould of Osimhen.
PSG’s current striker, Gonçalo Ramos, has struggled to meet expectations since his €65 million switch from Benfica, prompting Enrique to push for a more clinical forward to bolster the club’s Champions League ambitions.
With Osimhen’s market value now estimated at around €150 million, any potential deal could become one of next summer’s biggest transfer stories.
