American rapper, record producer, and executive Percy Robert Miller aka Master P has revealed how he avoided getting caught up in legal woes and scandals like Puff Daddy.
Master P who was addressing the legal issues surrounding Puff Diddy said that he avoided getting “caught up” in similar situations by staying clear from ‘clout chasers’.
The father of nine children stated during a recent interview discussing his role as entertainment ambassador for the City of New Orleans, that he also kept the same friends.
According to him, many music stars fail to realize that a lot of these people want to be your friend once they make it and most times they attract friends with bad intentions.
He said; “Because I realized I had the same friends I had when I started out,” the No Limit Records founder explained. “I think a lot of these people don’t realize that a lot of these people want to be your friend once you make it. My thing is, this about a family. We stronger together, whatever we have we gone share it with each other.”
Master P, who established the record company No Limit Records in 1991, continued by saying he wanted to “uplift the people around me,” stressing that he was interested in development and transformation.
“A lot of people want to meet people and hang out with people,” he shared. “But I realized that people really just want to be with you because now you’re successful so I stick to myself.” He noted.
