Serie A side Pisa are set to sign Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen in a deal reported to be worth €9 million, with a further €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
Durosinmi, 23, has attracted interest from several European clubs, including West Ham United, Benfica, and VfB Stuttgart, but has opted to join the Italian side, who are currently struggling in the Serie A standings.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Pisa are close to finalising the agreement, with the deal expected to be completed in the coming days. The transfer comes as Plzen look to secure a fee for the striker before his contract expires on June 30.
The Nigerian forward has enjoyed a productive season at Viktoria Plzen, scoring 13 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions. His notable performances include a goal in the Europa League against Roma, showcasing his ability on the European stage.
Durosinmi joined Viktoria Plzen in 2023 from Karvina and quickly established himself as one of the Czech club’s key attacking players. His pace, finishing, and versatility have made him a target for several clubs across Europe.
Pisa’s move for Durosinmi reflects their ambition to bolster their attacking options as they fight to secure their Serie A status. The club hope the Nigerian striker can provide the firepower needed to improve their league position.
Once confirmed, the transfer will mark Durosinmi’s first move to Italian football, offering him a new challenge and the opportunity to prove himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
