Fast-rising Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has reacted to rumours about him making the rounds that he is set to leave his club in Belgium, Club Brugge.

The player who reacted to the rumours while speaking with Voetbalnieuws said that his focus is on playing for Brugge while he will allow his agent to deal with such talks.

Onyedika who has been linked with EPL clubs including; Everton Crystal Palace and Saudi pro-league sides, however, stated that his links with those clubs are flattering.

He also noted that the Club Brugge project is a great one and the culture is solid as every talented player at the club gets the chance to grow and express themselves.

“It’s really flattering when you see these names, this calibre of clubs interested in your services,” Onyedika added.

“But I’m just focused on playing my game, and not necessarily who talks to who. A lot of this is not up to me, you know. My agent will have to look at everything and ultimately decide what’s best for all parties.

“I’m under contract until 2027,” he said.

“I have a contract here, and I intend to respect it. The Club Brugge project is great, one that makes every footballer happy. We have a solid culture, a tradition in which every talented player gets the chance to grow and express themselves when you put on the shirt.”
