The real reason why Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise opted to join German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich instead of English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea has been revealed.
The player chose Bayern Munich over Chelsea mostly because of the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season, according to The Telegraph.
The new manager of the German club, Vincent Kompany, also informed the talented winger of his vision for the team during their meeting with club authorities.

Olise (who has Nigerian roots) was drawn to play for the Bundesliga giants due to the club’s rich heritage rather than for financial reasons, according to reports.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are prepared to start a formal process to complete Olise’s deal from Crystal Palace as soon as possible.
Romano stated that Crystal Palace is already informed about payment of the release clause, as it will be £45 million plus £5 million add-ons for Olise who will sign until June 2029.
