Energy drink giant Jurgen Klopp has appointed former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp (who has been out of job for months) as its new Global Head of Soccer.
Klopp who was appointed manager of Liverpool in 2015 guided the club to the UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2022, and won the trophy in 2019, will begin his new role on 1 January 2024.
While reacting to his appointment, Klopp who was born on 16 June 1967 in Stuttgart said that he could not be more excited to get involved in the Red Bull project.
“After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this,” said Klopp.

“The role may have changed but my passion for football and the people who make the game what it is has not,” he added.
According to the company, Klopp will revolutionize its engagement on the international soccer stage and its ongoing growth in his capacity as head of soccer.
“In his role as head of soccer, he will be a game-changer for our involvement in international soccer and its continued development,” said Oliver Mintzlaff, the company’s CEO of corporate projects and investments.
