British heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma has issued a stark warning to Jake Paul ahead of the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s December 19 showdown with Anthony Joshua, describing the bout as “suicide” and urging Paul to reconsider.
Speaking during a livestream watched by 50,000 viewers, the 20-year-old—who holds a perfect professional record of 10 wins, all by knockout—said Paul “has no idea what’s coming” and predicted he would witness “the scariest knockout you’ve ever seen.”
Itauma, who has sparred with Joshua, stressed that the former two-time world champion hits “three times harder than anyone Paul has faced” and even offered to spar with the American “to show him real power.” He added pointedly that no amount of money would matter if Paul could not even remember his own name after the fight.
The warning follows similar concerns from former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, who has urged caution over the safety of the bout.
The heavyweight clash, scheduled for eight rounds at the Kaseya Centre in Miami, will be streamed live on Netflix. Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) is expected to face Joshua in what has been billed as one of the most anticipated crossover fights of the year.
