Saudi Arabia pro-league side Al Ahli is set to trigger Victor Osimhen’s €130 million (£110.8 million) release clause as set by his Italian club Napoli FC, but it remains to be seen if the much-sought-after player is interested in signing for the Asian club.
According to Il Mattino, an Italian daily (via CN24), Osimhen will depart Napoli during the next few days of the transfer window. However, he is unlikely to play in the Premier League next season because it is now very tough to make a move there.
The report by the Italian news outlet comes days after English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal FC asked Napoli to lower their asking price for the lethal Super Eagles striker.

Although Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, is eager to sell Osimhen in the summer, he is waiting for a team that can afford the substantial €130 million (£110.8 million) release clause.
Osimhen is eager to stay in Europe, but Saudi Pro League clubs could afford such a big sum even as the Serie A club has not received any serious approaches thus far.
Arsenal have now made it clear to Napoli that they are not going to meet Osimhen’s €130 million due to the cost involved, even though they rate him highly.
