Mr. Msughter Daniel, whose wife, Charity Ishuun Kumaga, tragically lost her life to an electrocution incident in Ugba, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, has come to a final settlement agreement with the management of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC).
The resolution saw Mr. Msughter receiving a compensation bank draft from Adamu Abdullahi, JEDC’s Head of Regulatory Compliance, in the presence of officials from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
The process was overseen by Dafe Akpeneye, NERC Commissioner for Legal, Licencing, and Compliance, alongside Hauwa Yakubu, NERC’s Deputy General Manager for Compliance, and other commission representatives.
A statement from the commission noted that the compensation is a testament to its interest in protecting the rights of consumers.
