Gabriel Osho, the defender from Luton FC, has received his first national call-up and has been included in the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.
The matches are scheduled for March 22 and 26 in Morocco. Born to Nigerian parents in England, Osho has committed to playing for the Super Eagles.
The squad also sees the return of Wilfred Ndidi and Sadiq Umar, who missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injuries.
Other players returning to the team include Nathan Tella, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Cyril Dessers.
The friendly matches against Ghana and Mali will serve as preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June, where the Super Eagles will face South Africa.
The Super Eagles will aim to use these friendlies to fine-tune their squad and strategies as they look ahead to the World Cup qualifiers and other competitions on the horizon.
