Talented Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze, who currently plays for Italian club AC Milan, is reportedly attracting significant interest from Real Sociedad, a Spanish La Liga side.
With Milan seemingly open to offloading the Nigerian international, Chukwueze’s future at the Italian club appears increasingly uncertain amid this renewed pursuit.
The 25-year-old had a successful stint with Villarreal in La Liga, and Real Sociedad is eager to bring him back, according to various reports from Spanish and Italian media outlets, including Superdeporte and Calciomercato.com.
Chukwueze became one of Milan’s most expensive signings during the 2023 summer transfer window, reportedly joining for €20 million plus bonuses.
However, since moving to San Siro, he has struggled to consistently replicate the form he displayed at Villarreal.
Reports suggest he is not a key part of new manager Sergio Conceição’s plans at Milan, and the club’s directors are open to the possibility of his departure.
Milan is reportedly not interested in a loan deal and is instead seeking a permanent transfer, valuing Chukwueze at between €13 million and €18 million (including fixed fees and potential bonuses).
Real Sociedad’s interest reflects their intention to strengthen their attacking options. The Basque side sees Chukwueze as a valuable asset due to his pace, dribbling ability, and prior experience in the Spanish top flight.
