Nigerian international striker Victor Boniface is reportedly on the brink of sealing a high-profile move to Serie A giants AC Milan, in what could be one of the most notable transfers of the summer window.

The 23-year-old forward, who enjoyed a breakout season with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, has caught the attention of several top European clubs following his impressive performances.

Boniface’s strength, pace, and eye for goal made him a key figure in Leverkusen’s title charge last season, as he registered double figures in both goals and assists across competitions.

AC Milan, in search of a long-term attacking solution following the departure of veteran striker Olivier Giroud, has identified Boniface as the ideal fit to lead their frontline. Club officials are believed to be in advanced talks with the German champions, with negotiations centring around a fee in the region of €45–50 million.

The Rossoneri, Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, and Patrick Berger are already in negotiations to finalise a permanent contract, according to a correspondent for Sky Sport.

“Victor Boniface (24) is close to joining AC Milan! The Italian side and Bayer Leverkusen are in direct talks to finalise a permanent deal,” Berger wrote on his X account.

“Milan has sent an official offer in the last 48 hours, which Leverkusen is currently reviewing. All parties are confident to get the deal done. Igli Tare is pushing for Boniface.

“Boniface already has an agreement in principle with Milan, waiting for the green light.”
