Pacy Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has been named Player of The Month for top-flight French Ligue 1 club Nantes FC for the out-gone month of August.
The 28-year-old winger was able to garner no fewer than 43% of votes cast by fans to beat Alban Lafont, Matthis Abline, and Nathan Zézé to the monthly club award.
Simon, who received his first call-up to the Nigeria national team in March 2015 by coach Daniel Amokachi, is expected to receive his award next week when Nantes take on Stade de Reims.
This development comes a day after the player declared that the Super Eagles are desperate to beat Benin Republic as they are condemned to win tomorrow’s AFCON qualifier.

Simon who made the remarks in a chat with NFF TV stated that he is really happy to be back with the Super Eagles as he misses the team after an injury-induced layoff.
He disclosed that the mood in the Super Eagles camp in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom is a little bit up because the coach Austin Eguavoen knows a lot of the players.
Simon stated that the players know what is at stake because the team lost to Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifiers and the team is coached by former Eagles handler Gernot Rohr.
