Talented Super Falcons striker Chinonyerem Macleans has completed a move to Saudi Arabia Women’s Professional League side Al Shabab for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old player who moved to the Saudi clubside from Russian team Lokomotiv Moscow says she is excited about joining Al Shabab as she looks forward to joining her teammates.
The striker who was part of the Super Eagles squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games also hailed the vision for women’s football in Saudi Arabia which she described as inspiring.

Macleans stated: “I’m excited to join Al Shabab Women FC and contribute to the team’s success. Saudi Arabia’s vision for women’s football is inspiring, and I’m proud to be part of this journey.”
While reacting to the player’s signing, the Chairman of Al Shabab stated that the player’s skill and experience will help inspire other young Saudi women to pursue football careers.
