Super Falcons player Jennifer Echegini is seeking a move away from Italian side Juventus female soccer team after only linking up with the club in January.
Per a report published by Tuttojuve, Echegini has expressed to the team that she wants to depart because she doesn’t fit in well with Italian football and its culture.
Early this month, the player was named as the Women’s Serie A’s best U-23 player for 2024.
The Nigerian player, who studied Management studies at Florida State University, joined Juventus six months ago after leaving the American team, the Florida State Seminoles.

With 10 goals and one assist in 16 appearances for the Bianconeri in all competitions, Echegini had a significant effect in the second half of the season.
The 23-year-old, who was raised in London, England, but was born in the Netherlands, was instrumental in ensuring Juventus’ UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification.
Echegini, set to receive the award early next season, is expected to join the Super Falcons for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
The player, part of the Super Falcons at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16, signed with Juventus until June 2026.
