Everton have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne, who joins the Women’s Super League side on a free transfer after her contract with Spanish club Sevilla expired.
The 29-year-old forward, who previously represented the United States at the Under-23 level, was instrumental in helping Nigeria advance to the 2023 World Cup’s round of 16.
While reacting to her move to Everton, Toni Payne expressed delight and also revealed that it has always been her dream to play in the UK and such a strong league like the WSL.
“I’m super excited to be an Everton player,” Payne told evertonfc.com.
