Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi is attracting interest from Turkish Super Lig giants Beşiktaş and Portuguese side FC Porto as he pushes to leave French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice before the close of the current transfer window.
According to reports, the 26-year-old striker has fallen out of favour at Nice following an incident last November in which he was assaulted by the club’s supporters after a 3–1 defeat to his former side, Lorient. Moffi has not featured for the French club since the incident.
Sources indicate that the Nigerian international has begun the process of terminating his contract as he seeks an exit from the club amid concerns over his safety and playing future.
Beşiktaş are reportedly considering Moffi as a replacement for Tammy Abraham, who is expected to complete a move to Premier League side Aston Villa. The Turkish club is keen to reinforce its attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
FC Porto have also identified Moffi as a potential addition to their squad as they look to strengthen their frontline in pursuit of domestic and European ambitions.
Despite his limited involvement this season, Moffi has scored two goals in 10 league appearances for Nice. He previously enjoyed a prolific spell at Lorient, which earned him a move to the Côte d’Azur club and established him as a regular figure in Nigeria’s national team setup.
