Rumble Inc. shares surged more than 7% on Monday after announcing a $100 million advertising partnership with stablecoin issuer Tether, marking one of the most significant collaborations between a social media platform and a crypto firm. The deal, aimed at promoting Rumble’s digital wallet and creator monetisation tools, underscores how blockchain-backed companies are increasingly tapping into alternative media ecosystems.
Rumble (NASDAQ: RUM) saw its stock climb from $5.89 to $6.35 following the announcement, pushing its market capitalisation to roughly $2.25 billion. The company made the news public via a post on X, confirming Tether’s two-year advertising commitment beginning in early 2026. Under the terms, Tether will spend $50 million annually across Rumble’s platform to promote services tied to digital assets like USD₮, XAU₮, and Bitcoin.
Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski said the partnership reaffirms the platform’s mission to empower creators who value independence and transparency. “Tether’s commitment to our Freedom-First video platform proves that Rumble and the creators who have stood unwaveringly for free speech are the foundation for the future of advertising and creator monetisation,” Pavlovski said. He added that integrating the Rumble Wallet with advertising tools will create a transparent and privacy-centred environment for both users and creators.
The agreement expands on an earlier arrangement in which Tether committed up to $150 million for Rumble’s Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) services. That deal hinges on Rumble’s planned acquisition of Northern Data AG, a German artificial intelligence and cloud computing company, through a voluntary exchange offer. The acquisition is seen as a key step in scaling Rumble’s technological infrastructure and AI capabilities.
Tether’s advertising push signals its broader ambition to extend its reach beyond stablecoin markets and into digital content ecosystems. The partnership gives Tether a high-visibility platform for promoting its products while helping Rumble diversify revenue streams and strengthen its position as a free-speech-focused alternative to mainstream video sites.
Analysts say the move could help Rumble better compete in the creator economy by offering integrated payment options tied to blockchain assets. For Tether, it presents an opportunity to normalise the use of digital currencies in online content monetisation and advertising.
The partnership comes as Rumble continues to expand its financial and technological footprint amid rising interest from crypto and AI investors. If successful, the collaboration could set a precedent for how blockchain companies integrate with decentralised media platforms to reshape the digital advertising landscape.
