Theoriq, a decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) and Web3 firm has announced the launch of its Testnet, marking a major milestone in the development of blockchain-based AI systems.
This Testnet, launched on August 8, is the first of its kind, designed to support AI agents—autonomous systems that perform specific tasks across various domains.
These AI agents form part of a larger decentralized ecosystem where they can combine into collectives to execute complex, simultaneous actions.
According to Theoriq’s co-founder and CEO, Ron Bodkin, the agents are designed to collaborate in teams, known as “Collectives,” and specialize in tasks such as data analysis, trading, code generation, and image creation.
This approach aims to outperform traditional general-purpose AI systems by allowing specialized agents to work together toward unified goals.
The launch of the Testnet is a critical phase for Theoriq as the company prepares for the release of its mainnet later this year.
During this phase, the company will refine its AI agents and offer developer grants to encourage innovation within its platform.
Bodkin also emphasized that the mainnet launch will be accompanied by a comprehensive security audit and open-source protocol features to ensure transparency and reliability.
Theoriq’s innovative platform promises to bring automation to various sectors, including decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) providers.
Through enabling AI agents to interact with smart contracts, control assets, and handle micropayments, the company hopes to revolutionize Web3 applications and beyond, ushering in what Bodkin calls the “Agentic Age.”
Theoriq’s acceptance into the Google Cloud Startup Program further strengthens its position, granting the company access to Google Cloud’s services and infrastructure to support its protocol’s development.
