Veteran Brazilian defender Thiago Silva may become the coach of English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea FC in the future if everything goes according to plan.
This follows a report that the London club is creating a pathway that will allow former players like Thiago Silva to manage the club in the future, courtesy of their multi-club ownership deal.
Per a recent report published by the Evening Standard, the Blues aim to establish a coaching production line to cultivate the upcoming generation of managers.
According to the report, Chelsea would be happy to have Silva, who recently left the team for Fluminense, return in a coaching capacity. They believe that by expanding their global network of clubs to include teams all over the world, the Brazilian and other players will have the opportunity to refine their managerial abilities before making a return to Stamford Bridge.

In a related development, Brazilian club Fluminense is set to sign Silva, who has long been acknowledged as one of the world’s most accomplished and successful defenders.
Reports suggest that Fluminense will sign Silva, who has won trophies in Brazil, Italy, France, England, and internationally, as a free agent.
According to football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Silva has a verbal agreement with Fluminense for his signature.
Silva will leave Chelsea as a free agent at the end of the season after rejecting proposals in January to stay and help Chelsea until the end.
