However, a former Minister of Transportation and ex-governor of Rivers, Rotimi Amaechi and APC’s gubernatorial candidate Tonye Cole did not attend the meeting.
It is understood that Rivers Governor Wike has told his political allies to support Tinubu ahead of the presidential polls due to his rift with the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Atiku Abubakar.
The G5 governors have aired their grievances with the PDP, demanding that the national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu should step down for a Southerner before supporting Atiku for the presidential elections.
