Mixed reactions have continued to trail a workout video of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which was shared online on Sunday, October 2.
Tinubu had shared a “proof of life” video of himself via his verified Twitter account with the caption: “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope. This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am ready to serve Nigerians from day one.”
The video soon generated mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
While some questioned his absence from essential events like the signing of the peace accord despite his clean bill of health, others are of the opinion that the APC presidential candidate needed to refuel for the campaigns.
But in an interview with ChannelsTv, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state described the video as a needless post done without Tinubu’s consent.
“Nobody is totally well and nobody is totally sick. A man [Tinubu] doing his workout is being videoed and circulated on social media without his knowledge,” Umahi said.
Tinubu’s absence from the country despite the commencement of campaigns has continued to raise concerns about his physical fitness for the elections.
