Chris Ngige has suggested that one of the major tasks of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu must embark after his May 29, 2023, swearing-in.
The minister for labour and employment revealed that Tinubu should start discussions on a review on the minimum wage currently obtainable in Nigeria.

The former Anambra state governor while speaking on a program on Channel TV said that Tinubu should make the new minimum wage higher than the current N30,000 being earned by civil servants.
Nigige confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the payrise for “hardcore civil servants” which took effect on January 1, 2023, noting that the administration had made a provision for it in the 2023 budget.
