Ondo Global Markets has quickly established itself as a dominant player in the tokenized equities space, crossing the $300 million mark in assets just weeks after launch. New figures show the platform now manages about $302.9 million across 103 tokenized stocks, giving it more than 42 percent of the market share and placing it ahead of competitors such as Securitize and Backed Finance. Securitize currently holds $249.6 million in tokenized equities, while Backed Finance accounts for $81.6 million.

This rapid ascent comes as Ondo expands its overall fund scale to roughly $1.4 billion, ranking it second only to Securitize in the broader real-world asset (RWA) tokenization segment, where Securitize has amassed $2.72 billion. According to data from RWA.xyz, the tokenized stock market has ballooned to a total capitalization of $716.95 million, reflecting a nearly 97 percent surge over the last 30 days.

The milestone underscores both Ondo’s swift growth and the accelerating adoption of tokenized real-world assets. A joint analysis from Dune and RWA.xyz reported that the entire RWA tokenization market now exceeds $300 billion, up 224 percent since the start of 2024. This trend highlights how tokenization is opening access to asset classes that were once restricted to institutional investors.

Ondo’s first weeks on the market illustrate the scale of this demand. The platform recorded over $141 million in mint and redeem volume during its launch week alone, signaling a strong appetite among investors for exposure to tokenized equities. By offering a diverse basket of tokenized stocks, Ondo is helping transform traditional equity markets into more accessible, blockchain-based instruments.

The rise of platforms like Ondo Global Markets also marks a shift in the perception of tokenization itself; rather than being viewed merely as an experimental corner of blockchain, tokenizing real-world assets is increasingly seen as a viable method of bringing transparency, liquidity, and inclusivity to conventional markets. With Ondo now holding a commanding share of the tokenized stock sector, its early success suggests that demand for on-chain versions of traditional financial products is only growing.
