Toyin Saraki, the founder of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, has been honoured with the prestigious Global Health Advocate of the Year Award by the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN).
The accolade was presented at the 2023 Annual Awards and Gala Night, celebrating outstanding contributions to advancing healthcare and improving outcomes in Nigeria.
The recognition acknowledged Saraki’s unwavering commitment to healthcare advancement and her exceptional efforts in driving transformative change within Nigeria’s healthcare landscape.
Expressing deep gratitude for the award, Toyin Saraki attributed the honour to the tireless endeavours of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa teams, who she said relentlessly work on the frontlines in Nigeria and beyond.
”Their commitment and dedication have been instrumental in translating advocacy into impactful action, aligning with the longstanding charter of the Trustees and Governing Council of the WBFA,” she noted.
During the ceremony, Saraki, the wife of Nigeria’s former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, expressed her appreciation for the collaboration and vision of PSHAN, emphasising their shared mission to create a healthier and happier Nigeria.
