Tragedy as Imo lawmaker loses life after undergoing surgery in Lagos

It was tears as a high-ranking lawmaker in the Imo State House of Assembly Hon. Arthur Egwin has been pronounced dead.

The legislator from the Orlu zone of Imo state gave up the ghost during a surgical operation for cancer in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos, on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Egwim was elected into the assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2015 governorship and state assembly election in the state.

He got re-elected into the legislative arm of the state leadership after defecting to the Action Alliance (AA) during the 2019 election. 

Egwim was the house committee chairman on finance and public accounts before his tragic passing away.
