Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have switched their transfer focus to Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare after cooling their interest in Uche Chrisantus.

Reports indicate that Wolves, who had been exploring a deal for Chrisantus, decided against pursuing the striker and are now lining up a potential move for Arokodare. The 23-year-old forward has been making waves in Spain with his performances, attracting interest from several clubs across the top five leagues.

Wolves are in the market for additional attacking options as they look to bolster their squad ahead of a demanding season. Arokodare’s aerial presence, pace, and finishing ability are seen as qualities that could add depth to their frontline.

Chrisantus had been linked with a move to the Premier League. However, sources suggest Wolves opted to pursue a younger striker with more long-term potential.

Talks are expected to advance in the coming days as Wolves weigh up a formal bid for Arokodare. If completed, the move would see another Nigerian international join the Premier League, continuing the tradition of Super Eagles stars making their mark in England.
