Nigeria’s Flamingos will play against hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand In Group A of the forthcoming 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The draw for the female soccer competition was held over the weekend in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the Monument to Fray Anton de Montesinos.
Defending champions Spain are in Group B with the USA, South Korea, and Colombia in the competition which takes place in Colombia from 31 August – 22 September 2024.

Group D comprises top teams such as Japan, Poland, Brazil, and Zambia; Group C consists of other teams including; North Korea, Mexico, Kenya, and England.
October 16 is the start date of the competition, and it ends on November 3, 2024.
This will be the penultimate edition to be contested every two years, with 16 teams, before it grows to 24 teams in 2025.
The Flamingos defeated Germany in a penalty shootout to take third place in the 2022 competition held in India.
