Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has reacted to the UEFA Champions League loss suffered by his team at the hands of Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday.
The recent defeat engineered by Sporting Lisbon’s outgoing coach, Ruben Amorin was the first time that the club lost three matches in a row since April 2018.
City who were completely outplayed by their hosts also conceded four goals in Champions League for the first time since October 2016, Guardiola’s charges lost 4-0 to FC Barcelona.
While reacting to the loss, Guardiola said; “It’s difficult moment in terms of results but I’m here. I want to be here”.
“I want to fight and not give up… who wants to follow me, follow us, they will be there!”, he told TNT Sports.
The Spanish tactician also informed that he is ready for the challenge ahead with his team.
He said: “I love this challenge, I want to face it and lift the players”. “I am not giving up, be ready.., maybe people are waiting for that, but I am not giving up!”.
