United Capital Plc has announced that its Board of Directors will convene in Lagos on Friday, October 24, 2025, to review the company’s third-quarter financial performance and other corporate matters.

In a statement issued to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) published on its website on Monday, the meeting will focus on examining the firm’s unaudited financial statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2025, according to a statement issued by the company’s management.

In compliance with regulatory requirements, the financial services group has implemented a trading restriction on its shares, effective from the beginning of this month.

Leo Okafor, Group Company Secretary, said: “The Board of United Capital Plc (the ‘Company’) will meet in Lagos on Friday, October 24, 2025, to consider, among other things, the Company’s unaudited Financial Statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2025 (the “Q3, 2025 Financials”).”

The company secretary outlined the regulatory framework governing the announcement, stating: “In accordance with the post-listing requirements of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (“NGX”), the closed period for trading in the shares of the Company will commence on October 1, 2025, in respect of the Q3, 2025 Financials.”

The trading blackout affects company insiders and individuals connected to them, preventing any transactions in United Capital securities during the closed period.

Okafor emphasized the scope of the restriction: “Hence, no Insider of the Company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the securities of the Company until 24 hours after the release of the Q3, 2025 Financials to NGX and by extension, the general public.”

The closed period will remain in effect until 24 hours following the official disclosure of the quarterly results to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public.

United Capital Plc, a leading integrated financial services group in Nigeria, offers investment banking, asset management, and other financial solutions to corporate and individual clients nationwide.
