Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar is set to complete a permanent move to Valencia after the La Liga club reached an agreement with Real Sociedad.
According to Spanish outlet Radio MARCA, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of around €5 million for the 28-year-old forward. Sadiq is expected to sign a three-year contract with Valencia.
The Nigerian international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Mestalla, where he impressed by scoring five goals in 16 league appearances, convincing Valencia to make the move permanent.
Valencia, who are currently battling to avoid relegation, are keen to bolster their attacking options as they fight for survival in La Liga, with Sadiq seen as a key addition to provide much-needed firepower.
Sadiq is expected to be available for selection ahead of Valencia’s league fixture at the Mestalla this weekend, pending final registration formalities.
