Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has made it known that he has “100 percent clear” intentions to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, ending any rumours about his future.

Many transfer speculations have involved the 24-year-old Nigerian international, tying him to teams like AC Milan, Galatasaray, and Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League.

A move away from Die Werkself has been suggested after Boniface’s lacklustre 2024–25 season, in which he managed 11 goals and one assist in 27 games across all competitions for the former Bundesliga champions.

However, Boniface has expressed his ardent desire to win additional titles with the Bundesliga champions and reaffirmed his loyalty to the team in an interview with Bild, the German publication.

“Absolutely, my future is here,” Boniface told Bild. “From my side, it is 100 per cent clear that I am staying. I have three years left on my contract; I want to win titles with Bayer and have a great season.”

Boniface’s announcement follows a period of heated transfer rumours, which included a widely reported January move to Saudi club Al-Nassr that finally fell through.

Reflecting on that experience, he remained unfazed: “It is what it is. The transfer didn’t happen; I’m still here.” He also dismissed interest from AC Milan, reiterating his affection for Leverkusen, even when “things weren’t going so well for me last season.”
