Former Super Eagles winger and ex-coach George Finidi has disclosed that Victor Osimhen has not apologised to him following his social media outburst targeted at him.
Recall three months ago that Osimhen took to his official Instagram page to vent his spleen at Finidi George for questioning his commitment to the national team
The lethal striker had to withdraw from Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic due to an injury.
Finidi had stated that despite his injuries, the former striker for Lille might have been able to participate in both games.
At home, the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana drew 1-1, while abroad, they lost 2-1 to Benin Republic.

“I asked Finidi George to allow me to stay with the players in the camp, but Finidi asked me not to bother that I should stay with my family,” he reacted on Instagram.
“Now after two bad games, everybody is blaming me.
“I know how many injuries I’ve played with for Nigeria and I played my heart out but after two bad games, everybody is attacking me.” Osimhen ranted on Instagram.
Finidi, however, said in a recent interview that Osimhen has not contacted him to offer an apology for the offensive social media post.
“I sent him a message that it was not the best way, just someone telling you that coach said that and you’re talking about me like I said it in an interview,” Finidi told Nigeria Info FM.
“From that point, I didn’t hear from him, I moved on and I wish everybody well, only God will judge”.
