English Premier League (EPL) side West Ham United FC is set to announce seasoned Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui as the new head coach to replace outgoing David Moyes.
Per respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the coach signed a deal to coach West Ham on May 6, and the club is expected to make an official announcement on his appointment soon.
Lopetegui, who started managing in 2003 and spent several years with Spain’s youth teams, has already begun the summer transfer window with West Ham.
‘‘It’s all done since May 6 between West Ham and Julen Lopetegui, with club formal announcement to follow.

‘‘Lopetegui and West Ham are already planning for the summer transfer window.’’ Romano wrote on X.
Recall that under-fire David Moyes accused his West Ham flops of failing to take “responsibility” as the pressure mounted on the under-fire boss following Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing at Chelsea.
Moyes is set to leave mid-table the East London club at the end of the season after reports that the club have held talks with former Wolverhampton Wanderers coach.
Lopetegui left Wolves along with players like Ruben Neves, because he became upset with the club’s lack of spending.
Wolves also recognized that there were “differences of opinion on certain issues” with the coach.
