The signing of England international Eberechi Eze has been praised by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who is certain the midfield player will provide the Gunners’ attacking approach this season with a “new dimension.”
Eze, who was signed for more than £60 million to join Arsenal from Crystal Palace, was introduced to the club’s supporters earlier this week at the Emirates.
Many people admire the 26-year-old creative midfielder for his flair, dribbling prowess, and goal-scoring ability, all of which Arteta believes will change Arsenal’s strategy in the final third.
Following the announcement of Eze, who joins Arsenal as their seventh summer acquisition and returns to the club where he started his football career in their academy, Arteta stated on the club’s website that the player will add a fresh perspective to his side’s offensive play.
He said, “We are absolutely delighted to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a powerful and exciting player who will give us a new dimension in our attacking game. What stands out just as much as his talent and intelligence as a player is the way he has worked hard throughout his career to get where he is today.
“His journey, his mentality, and his ambition are exactly what we want in our team, and we love how much it means to him and his family to be joining our club. We all look forward to starting to work with Eberechi soon.”
