Veteran Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has surprisingly returned from retirement and is set to sign a deal with Spanish La Liga side Barcelona as a free agent.
This was disclosed in a post shared on the X handle of transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano who revealed that Szczesny will come out of retirement to sign for Barcelona as a replacement for Ter Stergen who has been ruled out for a long time with injury.
Romano also disclosed that Szczesny is all set for a medical test in Spain in the coming days.

‘’Medical tests will take place in Spain in the next days.’’ Romano wrote on his X handle.
The goalkeeper also earlier confirmed that he is in talks to sign for Barcelona as it would be disrespectful for him not to consider such an option in his football career.
“Yes, I’m now in talks and considering a Barça move. It’d be disrespectful if I didn’t consider this option for my career”.
