Coinme has officially expanded support for XRP, allowing users to buy and sell the cryptocurrency with cash at more than 28,000 retail locations across the United States.
The service is also accessible through the Coinme mobile app for debit card purchases, making it easier for everyday users to access XRP without needing a full crypto exchange account.
Announcing the development on X (formerly Twitter), Coinme emphasised the integration of XRP into its national network of Coinstar machines, MoneyGram locations, and other retail kiosks. The move strengthens XRP’s growing relevance in cross-border payments and banking solutions, given the XRP Ledger’s speed and low transaction fees.
Founded in 2014 in Seattle, Coinme was the first licensed Bitcoin ATM operator in the U.S. Today, it continues to make crypto more accessible by allowing users to convert cash into digital currencies at familiar retail locations. The XRP rollout is part of its broader mission to eliminate entry barriers for everyday users exploring the crypto space.
Unlike traditional exchanges, Coinme’s model requires no extensive onboarding, enabling users to transition from fiat to digital assets with ease.
While the expanded access is a bullish sign for XRP adoption, the token’s market performance has softened recently. XRP is down about 3% over the past 24 hours, now trading just under $2.10. Weekly losses stand at 3.4%. Still, advocates believe broader distribution through physical retail will help solidify XRP’s utility and adoption in the long run.
Coinme says the XRP service is now live nationwide, pushing the boundaries between traditional finance and blockchain innovation by giving crypto tangible access points in everyday American life.
